Established in 1997, we are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that helps older dependent seniors sustain daily living.

We are all aging, and many of us face other difficulties with our day-to-day living. At some point in our lives, we need help to sustain daily living as well as help accessing basic needs such as food, medical care, and human connection. Community Partners in Caring was established to help our neighbors with these extra services.

We are a volunteer management and training organization engaged in providing free non-medical caregiving services to dependent older seniors age 62 and over and adults living with mild disabilities. We recruit, screen, train, manage, and match volunteers with individuals in need of care and support. Our volunteers are thoroughly screened and we maintain a robust compliance and training program.

Thanks to our individual donors and grants, our services are always free.

The mission of Community Partners in Caring is to provide volunteer support services that allow our senior population and adults living with mild disabilities to live independently while maintaining dignity, respect, and quality of life.

We Need Your Help

There are thousands of older seniors aging in place right here in Santa Barbara County and many have lost the ability to access basic needs, such as the need for food, medical care, and human connection. Why? Because illness has taken away their ability to drive. They can’t access the bus and can’t get a ride. It’s not an emerging problem, it’s a crisis.  As the only agency of its kind, we need the community to help us make this “invisible” crisis, visible. Join our effort – as volunteers, advocates, or donors. Our older seniors need you.
