As you know, in late November, we launched a revitalization effort. We have not (yet) made our budget goal, but we are very close. Thanks to community donations, the support of three foundations, and a small grant from the state, we are now only $20,000 away.
I’m happy to report that services were never interrupted. CPC volunteers and staff continued to meet the needs of our seniors. Thank you volunteers! Thank you staff!
The funding situation is improving; old friendships are being reinstated and new ones are emerging. We had to cut our budget to the bare minimum in order to meet the needs of our seniors, but we are encouraged by the support we’ve received from the community.
CPC is not out of the woods – yet. We still need to raise $20,000. Funds from another state grant we applied for will not become available till September 2017. Of course, this means our appeal for donations must continue. We hope that you will support our revitalization effort. Share the Appeal with friends over e-mail or through your social media accounts (Facebook and/or Twitter). Five dollars contributed by 4,000 people will get us to September. Please consider making a donation. Any help you give – time, talent and/or funding – makes a difference.
You have a team of committed volunteers and staff. Help us help our seniors. Thank you for your continued support.
Best to you and yours!
