Veronica was born and raised in Carpinteria, CA, and moved around Santa Barbara County, residing in Lompoc. She is the first in her family to graduate high school; she also studied for three years in Mexico and became fluent in Spanish. Throughout high school, she volunteered at her local summer camps and got her first job in a senior living community, where she spent the next five years gaining knowledge in elderly care. Having six years of experience in elderly care led her to CPC; she realized her abilities could help contribute to her community and help those who don’t have the support or funds to learn and expand her knowledge in senior care.

When asked what drew her to Community Partners in Caring?

“I, unfortunately, didn’t get the chance to grow up or meet my grandparents, so it was always my goal to help the seniors in my community; CPC was one of the only organizations in my neighborhood that allowed those who couldn’t afford it.
